...hello everyone...today I'm sharing with you a Tag I have made which holds one of my all time favourite shapes...the heart...I hope you like it...
...a plain manilla Tag was coated with PaperArtsy Fresco Chalk Paint then a layer of crackle medium then a watered down layer of the paint on the top...added to hat was a torn distressed tag cut from some Basic Grey paper...
...a crown embossed in old silver and adorned in glitter fragments...
...steampunk parts adorn a heart in barn door...
...peel back the layers and be free...
...twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the ones you did...so throw off the bowlines, sail away from safe harbor, catch the tradewinds in your sails, EXPLORE. DREAM. DISCOVER...

...thank you for dropping by today I'm so glad you here...

Stunning, especially the way you presented this tag. When I first saw it, I thought it looked like peeling an onion away layer by layer. As I read further, I admired even more the purpose of this beauty.

You exercise so much restraint with what you add to your amazing backgrounds. Gotta try harder to do that. Hi Mel, I am a bit stumped for words on this gorgeous make, I loved the peeled back part, the crackled underneath, the beautiful heart, the staples - everything really! Love it a lot.......Crafty hugs, Anne x
ReplyDeleteHi Mel, I love this one. I really like the idea of the heart being set free, as opposed to some of your other work where the heart is being suppressed by all the wire, like the suppression of emotions. Great emotive pieces, all of them, but I do like the idea of being set free. xx
ReplyDeleteHi Mel, Another stunning tag. Love your idea of the peeled back layers setting the heart free.
