...my project for the coming days is to do a canvas for my Daughter & SIL, the piccy you can see is the scan image of their 1st baby at 18 weeks (yep I'm going to be a Grandma!) the detail is just amazing, technology has certainly advanced since I had my 1st child...

  17. Oooh how exciting! Can't wait to see how it looks when finished. Scan pictures are so precious and they spoil VERY easily when they get near heat or bright light (I tried laminating my first ones and they all went totally black :-(( ) They are so clear now aren't they?! Enjoy the journey. #53

  32. Aw Mel, congrats! What a lovely thing to do too, so nice to have a record from the get go, huh! Remember the old bags that did the scans back in our day...crap photos, lots of sighing because you didn't have the right money.....such a wonderfully different experience....you'll be in your recording it element!

As a great-grandmother several times over and now a great-grandmother, my own experience is that they are a joy - even if I am far too young :) I can't believe how clear those scan photos can be ... no, back in our day there was nothing like that. I'm sure the canvas will be treasured. Too late to wish you a happy day so have a happy and crafty week instead. Elizabeth x #68
