TAG-TASTIC SWAP

...each morning we are born again, what we do today is what matters most...
-Buddha -

...hello everyone...today I'm sharing with you a swap I've had the pleasure of doing with the loVely Trace Metcalfe, Trace & I did a swap recently and both had such fun we decided to do another, the theme chosen by Trace was the DressForm...

...well Trace pulled out all the stops & this is what she made for me...

...this gorgeous steampunk tag, Trace's blog will have all the method on this but you can see the shimmering embossing on the background paper...

...the dressform has gone through the embossing folder (I don't recognise this one) and the gorgeous plump metal heart in silver stands proud in 3D...

...this loVely sentiment is attached to the cute metal hanger (a genious idea from Tim) with a twist of fine wire...

...these stunning metal flowers are awesome with their screw brad centers...the steampuck theme has been carried through every elements, even down to the soft grey flower ribbon...I have been blown away by this gorgeous tag & what is clear is Trace's unique style, super crisp stamping, superb attention to detail & perfect choice of ingredients...

...Trace's blog is full of amazing creations that will inspire your imagination & delight your senses... http://inkypinkycraft.blogspot.co.uk/ ...

...& here is what I made for Trace...

...I have been inspired by Halloween...

...I painted a manilla tag with PaterArtsy honeydew fresco paint & dripped ink in coffee in random splodges, then embossed with the treebranch and grunged it up a bit with charcole...

...the dressform was first embossed with the random dots folder, then inked with chipped sapphire & wild honey then given a heavy dosing of distress crackle...

...a gorgeous glass bobbled heart completes the form...

...a little crooked tombstone cross with a skull added to the theme...

...and lastley I attempted to make a wire cobwebb to drape across, it went a bit wrong but I added it anyway with some glass beads for dew drops and some coffee ink as rusty spots...

...I do hope you have enjoyed looking at the tag swap piccy's...
...thank you so much for taking the time to drop by today, your thoughts and comments mean a lot and are very much appreciated...

  30. Both these tags are stunning - I particularly love the colour and crackle effect on the dress - what a beautiful colour scheme and the matching ribbon just perfects it. You have a wonderful eye for colour and detail, and I am always so impressed with the high quality of your work - I can't see anything at all wrong with the cobweb, but I'll take your word for it that it went wrong!!! Once again, a lovely, inspiring visit to your blog - thank you.
