SEPIA TONES & CREAM

...he who works with his hands is a laborer...he who works with his hands and his head is a craftsman...he works with his hands and his head and his heart is an artist...

...firstly i'd just like to say a huge thank you for all the warm wishes sent for my birthday, it was so loVely reading your messages, there is so much beauty in people it really gladdens my heart...xxx

...the new theme this week at It's Crafting Time is Sepia Tones & Cream...each day there will be a new posting for you to take inspiration from the Design Team members...

...a manilla tag was covered with a rather gorgeous paper from Prima's Almanac Collection, to that the edges were distressed, cream emulsion splodges were added via bubble wrap along with larger splats in walnut distress ink..

...this yummy flower is cut from the tattered florals die and was given a heavy dose of vintage photo distress ink, the papers are random & from my stash & a vintage wooden button with rough fiberous thread for the center...

...along the base of the tag is a strip of decorative edging cut from the vintage lace die which also has a heavy dose of vintage photo...

...the heart is cut from natural denim and adorned with buttons and jute...

...a close up of the gorgeous paper from prima, the seam binding hanger was inked with vintage photo and some plump pearls added...

  7. Ooooh, Mel. Think you've just given Mr Mojo another kick up the rear here (there's a pile of bits for a tag on my desk and a mental block with working out what to do with them!) This is divine. Love the colour scheme and the script background, and another great heart (you and Trace are so good at them). Thanks for sharing, hugs Buttons x

  26. Wow, Mel, this is totally gorgeous! I love shabby chic, as you know, and this ticks every single box for me - the papers are yummy, and the heart is so lovely (I've never met natural denim before). But it's that flower that really took my breath away, colour, music paper, button and frayed thread - OMG! I'm not much of a one for flowers usually, but this could convert me - completely lovely tag...
