LATE ADDITION

...life loves to be taken by the lapel and told, "I'm with you kid. Let's go!"
- Maya Angelou -

...hello everyone, I hope this day finds you all in fine fettle :) ...

...I have been very absent this past week, from posting, through to visiting the wonderful blogs I follow...some of you may know it was my darling Daughters Birthday last Friday (14th) well on that day her own baby decided to make her entrance into the world!...sadly this was not a smooth journey and Mother & Baby got very poorly, a difficult time for everyone least not Danielle...but the resiliance of the human body made this a short journey for us all...I have now brought my two angels home (as you know my daughter, her hubby & their 3 bengal cats all moved in with me 3months ago when their house purchase fell through)...

...here is a piccy of me with my Granddaughter...

...she is named after her Great Grandmother Emmie and weighed in at 9lb 6oz...
...I hope to start checking in with you all again this week as life is getting back on an even keel...life is good...

TIM HOLTZ MINI MASK

...the world needs dreamers and the world needs doers. But above all, the world needs dreamers who do...
- Sarah Ban Breathnach -

...hello everyone, today I'm sharing with you my DT piece for It's Crafting Time...the theme for this week is our supplied product...

...I have made a card using the Compass Mini Mask by Tim Holtz...

...the background paper is from 'crowded Attic' by Tim Holtz, I placed the mask and lightly inked the whole piece with old paper distress ink for that aged feel...

...the mask is fabulous and gives great effect, I added some ideaology spinners...

...I finished off with a sentiment very apt for travel, some burlap and an idealogy disc tied with twine, I hope you like it...

...It's Crafting Time stocks a vast range of products in store if you live locally but if not check out their on-line shop here http://itscraftingtime.blogspot.co.uk/

...It was the first time I have used a mask and found it very easy and loVed the amazing effect...

...thank you for stopping by today & a huge thank you to my followers old & new for all your kind & encouraging words...

PEOPLE ARE FULL OF SURPRISES

...kindness is a language that the deaf can hear and the blind can see...
- Mark Twain -

...hello everyone just a quick posting today, I'm sharing with you a Birthday day card I made for my beautiful Daughter who was 27 yesterday, & who is one of these crazy people who thinks PINK is the only colour in the spectrum...

...the papers are from: My Minds Eye: Memory Keepers: Tim Holtz...

...all the Die Cuts are from Sizzix & Tim Holtz Alterations for Sizzix...

...the heart was inked with pickled raspberry & crackled, the flower centers are candy from CraftWork Cards, a touch of idea-ology...
...not overly pink but enough to keep her happy...

...also & much to my surprise, Danielle's Hubby who is a Carpenter by trade asked if he could make a card for Dani too so I left him to it and this was the result...

...well for a first time card with burley carpenters hands he has quite a delicate touch, I was impressed, people can really surprise you!...

...thank you for dropping by today...

TAG-TASTIC SWAP

...each morning we are born again, what we do today is what matters most...
-Buddha -

...hello everyone...today I'm sharing with you a swap I've had the pleasure of doing with the loVely Trace Metcalfe, Trace & I did a swap recently and both had such fun we decided to do another, the theme chosen by Trace was the DressForm...

...well Trace pulled out all the stops & this is what she made for me...

...this gorgeous steampunk tag, Trace's blog will have all the method on this but you can see the shimmering embossing on the background paper...

...the dressform has gone through the embossing folder (I don't recognise this one) and the gorgeous plump metal heart in silver stands proud in 3D...

...this loVely sentiment is attached to the cute metal hanger (a genious idea from Tim) with a twist of fine wire...

...these stunning metal flowers are awesome with their screw brad centers...the steampuck theme has been carried through every elements, even down to the soft grey flower ribbon...I have been blown away by this gorgeous tag & what is clear is Trace's unique style, super crisp stamping, superb attention to detail & perfect choice of ingredients...

...Trace's blog is full of amazing creations that will inspire your imagination & delight your senses... http://inkypinkycraft.blogspot.co.uk/ ...

...& here is what I made for Trace...

...I have been inspired by Halloween...

...I painted a manilla tag with PaterArtsy honeydew fresco paint & dripped ink in coffee in random splodges, then embossed with the treebranch and grunged it up a bit with charcole...

...the dressform was first embossed with the random dots folder, then inked with chipped sapphire & wild honey then given a heavy dosing of distress crackle...

...a gorgeous glass bobbled heart completes the form...

...a little crooked tombstone cross with a skull added to the theme...

...and lastley I attempted to make a wire cobwebb to drape across, it went a bit wrong but I added it anyway with some glass beads for dew drops and some coffee ink as rusty spots...

...I do hope you have enjoyed looking at the tag swap piccy's...
...thank you so much for taking the time to drop by today, your thoughts and comments mean a lot and are very much appreciated...
