...today I'm sharing with you my take on Tim's 12 Tags of 2012 the month of April...
...the fun of participating is that it gives you limitless choices, for you don't have to have everything that Tim has used...it's all about your interpretation...
...the base ink is Spiced Marmalade which I then randomly went over with Walnut...the whole Tag was then put through the Big Shot with a Texture Fade and again I went over all the raised words with Walnut...
...the branch is again Walnut Distress Ink with a few flecks of gold Embossing Powder (I was trying to achieve the look of Lichen) and the birdie is Tattered Angels Sapphire, such a vibrant blue I loVe it...
...I randomly spritzed Tattered Angels Patina & a rather gorgeous Daler Rowney ink called Shimmering Gold on the Tag...
...the crown is a mixture of Embossing Powders, Bronze, Silver, Gold & Shabby Blue...I loVe the effect you get especially with the chunky powders as they stay raised...
...I'm happy with the way this Tag turned out I feel a lot more confident with inks since starting Tim's Creative Chemistry Classes...I've only done classes 1,2 & 3 but what I've learned about inks & paper is amazing...
...anyways thankyou for stopping by today...

Hi Mel, your tag is super cool (sorry I think the new word is 'dope' but I don't really like that). The bird is fabulous and love what you have done with the crown. I was not going to do this one as I do not have any of the elements except the crown, but I may have a go now. You will really enjoy the rest of Tim's classes, very informative. Anne x

Hey foxy lady - well Mel - you did get it done and your tag is out of this world gorgeous. I have so much to learn and I was so disappointed with how the colors looked in the pictures - way brighter than the colors of my tag - I love doing this. Do you have any hints on color corrections? Thanks!!
