ANYTHING GOES @ FUSSY & FANCY

...all our dreams can come true if we have the courage to pursue them...
- Walt Disney -

...hello everyone, I have some exciting news, I'm delighted to share with you that I have been asked to join the very creative bunch of girls over at Fussy & Fancy and I'm thrilled to be sharing with you my first piece with Team A...
...the challenge for the next fortnight is: ANYTHING GOES...

...as we are so close to Halloween I thought I'd do a spooky tag...I used corrugated card with the mini bookplate die as a tombstone, distressed it with black soot and snowcap, added a crucifix with a fun jewelled skull...

...I'm not sure of the name of this on the edge die as this strip was given to me, it works well as a graveyard railing though, it has been heavily aged...

...the background of this manilla tag was given a coating of chalk paint by ParperArtsy named Mermaid, alcohol ink was randomly dripped over the entire tag, the effect was quite surprising, an embossed tree branch roughly charcoaled and spooky numbers added to complete this tag...

...I do hope you pop on over to the Fussy and Fancy blog and join us in the challenge which runs for two weeks http://fussyandfancychallenge.blogspot.co.uk/ I look forward to seeing all your wonderful creations...

...as always thank you so much for dropping by...

JOYFUL TIDINGS

...continuous effort, not strength or intelligence, is the key to unlocking our potential...
- Winston Churchill -

...hello everyone, hope this day finds you all in fine fettle...
...today I'm sharing a canvas with you, it holds three small words that have resonance around the globe...hope you like...

...the base of this canvas has many layers of age & decay...distress ink, chalk paints, crackle paint & charcoal have been used to achieve this...

...these glorious three layered wings are made with metal card and have been embossed, a cool contrast to the background...

...the dressform has  been cracked and dressed in fine weave cotton & secured with a glass bead tie...

...sorry this last piccy is slightly blurry...

...the message is peace, joy & loVe,  something we strive for the world over...

...I'm entering this piece for Simon Says Stamp & Show: Rustification - May also stated we could use crackle and inks to add age so I do hope my piece qualify's for the challenge...
