  16. we come home from every walk burdened with stones and detritus - but ah! the memories... My boy once found me a stone with a fossil shaped like a heart, and he to this day doesn't realise how rare they are...it is a most treasured possession,

your hearts and flotsam are beautiful

  22. Oh Mel, I just love your little pile of treasures! It saddens me soooo much that I can no longer go beachcombing and pick up all the things I love, just to have, or to make art from. I now use a wheelchair and can't go on the beach any more. My greatest joy was walking on the beach (esp. in the winter!) never knowing what I might find. Have to do other things now! And I have LOTS of things that I enjoy!!

Thanks for your lovely comment on my blog. I've got lots of ideas for more papers, and also zentangles - in fact everywhere I look these days, I seem to see things that demand "Zentangle me!!"

    Happy WOYWW,

  28. You have just taken me back to when our children were small, and my bag always came back from the beach weighed down with shells and stones they had to have but couldn't possibly carry for themselves. I think there is still a box upstairs full of shells from various beaches. You are right, there is a lot of shading going on, lots of colouring. The cottage by the sea is one I have done in several different ways, water colours, Promarkers, and charcoals. It seems to work with everything, and reminds me of a viewpoint on the Isle of Wight. Thank you for your visit this week. Have a good Easter. xx Maggie #9
