SHABBY CHIC LOVELIES

...today i'm sharing my makes from my WOYWW 147 desk...

...a style i'm really drawn to especially in our crafting world is Shabby Chic for it allows slight imperfections and that tattered look is what makes it endearing...

...the linen heart...

...the raffia bow is secured in place by stitching...

...there they are two little Shabby Chic loVelies...

...I was inspired to get the sewing machine out by Jan @ http://jansartyatcjourney.blogspot.co.uk/  she had made a rather cute hand sewn fabric tag for Tag Tuesday...check out her blog it's very inspiring...

...hopefully the sunshine has touched you all this week and put a spring in your step and a smile in your heart...

...the amazing thing about Wednesdays is, that from the comfort of our home we get a snippet of crafting life from all over the world thanks to Julia @ http://stamping-ground.blogspot.co.uk/  ...

...so here is mine...i'm a very tidy person by nature but my desk really is a mess in this shot all due to a card I made after a waterfront stroll and didn't tidy up afterwards...

...I have leave this week so If the sun shines all day this little bundle won't move till sundown...right you've seen mine so i'm off to see yours, wishing you all a super day...

BEACH FINDS

...the sunshine brought on a stroll and a forage at the water front...

...here is a card I made upon my return...

...this is a multi-layered flower using fabric & paper with a pretty shell as the center...

...this was set upon a multi-layered paper base...crumpled brown paper sprayed gold, two lyers of mulberry paper & a little strip of frayed burlap...

...also found a gorgeous little piece of bleached knotty driftwood...

...a few shimmers here & there...

...hope you caught some warming rays...

...today it's all about texture and i'd like to share with you a couple of things that i made for my Mum...

...firstly is a small canvas...

...I kept this neutral and organic...

60 YEARS

...DIAMOND ANNIVERSARY...

...today i'm sharing with you a small canvas I made for a couple celebrating their Diamond Wedding Anniversary...

...how loVely it is to share the path of life with the one you loVe...

...after modge podging a piece of plain white tissue randomly to the canvas followed by a chunk of fine hessian i then washed over the entire surface with Old Paper Distress Ink...

...the shape of a heart was torn from Mulberry Paper which was then saturated with iridescent sequins, I loVe the way the light dances and shimmers off these gorgeous mini disc's...

...this textured flower is cut from the Sizzix Flowers Die..the materials are a soft White Cotton and Glassine Paper with a Solitaire Diamond (a stud earring) for the center...

...silver beads and thick glitter chips are randomly scattered...

...soft fibre's laid under local driftwood...

...loVe grows followed by a red opaque glass bead...

...made and received with loVe...

TAGS for EASTER

...Easter themed Tags...

...hello everyone...today I'm sharing with you the Tag I made for our Easter Swap...to say I found this challenging is an understatement...challenging in the fact of getting what was in my head on to the tag...but I got there and I'm pleased...

...laid on top of of this gorgeous piece of burlap is a strip of White Denim...the cross is made from an upholstery fabric called Heligan both from Laura Ashley...I wanted to make a thorney crown  like the one Jesus was made to wear but the fine barbed wire i'd made just overpowered the whole thing so I kept it simple...

...the idea of the nest & bird with the eggs was to indicate the new life...

...these little crowns were simple to make...as were the nests...

...these eggs were made with Fimo...

...my birds looked a bit like Piranha's so I added some feathers...

...I hope this Tag captures what Easter is all about...

WOYWW 145

...hello everyone I hope you've all had a fun filled week...we have had some glorious sunshine down here on the South Coast with temperatures reaching 18'...hope you've had the rays shinning down on you too...

...well I managed to miss WOYWW 143 due to heavy work load and 144 with my camera letting me down, well it was my sloppiness actually and rushing and fluffing it all up but i'm here today and thats counts...I have a Tag Swap in the next few days and the theme for this is Easter...

...it has been getting the best of me I have to say...I can picture in my head what I need to do but putting that together is another story and time is running away....anyways it's over to Julia's @ http://stamping-ground.blogspot.com/  to take a peek at what you've all been up to...

MATCHING GIFT TAG

...In my last posting I shared with you a Plaque I had made as a gift for a very dear friend..well I totally forgot to include the Gift Tag to match it...

...this simple little Gift Tag is made from corrugated card which I randomly painted with the same colours as the Plaque to follow the theme through...

...the flower is from the Tattered Florals Die...

...a simple cute little Gift Tag and oh so simple to make...give it a go :) ...oh and the wrapped prezzie...
