ALTERED CALENDAR

...today i'm sharing with you an Altered Wooden Calendar...

...it's my first time for altering and I have to say i was nervous, so have kept it simple...

...I have mainly used Tim Holtz Distress Inks...Tumbled Glass, Peeled Paint & Walnut were used for the main body of the Calendar and Old Paper on the chunky cubes, which were edged with the Walnut...

...I sprayed Sapphire Glimmer Mist over the entire Calendar, the photo does not really capture the effect very well which is a shame as it's such an amazing colour...the stamp is Andy Skinners 'Word Up' which I embossed with Silver Dollar and on various edges too...

...I did mess up with the embossing the E was over loaded as you can see but I couldn't correct it..it's supposed to look shabby/distressed so hopefully all is not lost...the big flower is a Sizzix Die called 'Flowers'...distressed with Faded Jeans and a cute wooden flower button in the center...

...well there it is my first effort ...i'm quite pleased with the end result ...next time i will go elaborate...most of the products I have used can be bought in store or online at http://www.thatcraftplaceblog.blogspot.com/  there are still a few items left in the sale so don't miss out...

...thankyou for stopping by today...
